Who doesn’t like a walk by the lake on a bright sunny day? Add a few ducks and a variety of water birds and the scene is set for entertainment. Especially if you are 13-months old, like Kelly.
Mum, Lauren Kelly-Ginnivan picked a cracker of a day for a wander by the lake. Lauren is from Axedale, but lives in White Hills, and considers herself a lifetime Bendigonian. “I’ve been here all my life,” she said. “I’m a first-time mum, and Lake Weeroona is a great place to have a walk. We can watch the ducks, or the other kids in the playground.”
Kelly’s a bit young to play at the moment, but by the look in her eye, there’s sure to be a return visit. “The playground is really good, with a real mix of kids having a good time,” Lauren said. “There are young ones and older ones, and they all play together.”
It’s a meeting place for mums too, a great location to meet up, have a chat and watch the kids have fun. “I’ve always liked the park,” Lauren said. “So much so, my husband James and I were married at the Boardwalk. It was a lovely day, and the tram came through too – the pictures are great.”
